Devaki met Sri Chinmoy at the age 13 in 1967, thanks to her aunt, Alo Devi. Five years and mang international adventures later, Devaki found herself seated in front of the spiritual Master in a house in Jamaica, New York, receiving his deepest blessing and eternal promise as she formally became his disciple.In this volume she describes how an English-speaking Jewish girl found a French-speaking Catholic husband as they both became wholeheartedly devoted to a spiritual Master of a Hindu background, embracing the Master ’s message of universal oneness. Devaki and Vidura are the leaders of the Montreal Sri Chinmoy Centre.
Devaki was one of the first disciples to give joy to Sri Chinmoy and all his disciples through spectacular, original theatrical performances. She is a pioneer Canadian disciple, one of those dedicated souls who journeyed to New York countless times every year to bask in the presence of Sri Chinmoy and to offer their service in every way.
