Beschreibung
Dodula was a very special student of Sri Chinmoy’s, and a very serious seeker right from her youth. As a teenager, she clearly knew she did not want to start a family, but felt a strong inner pull towards a life dedicated to Jesus and God. In her twenties, she entered the monastery in Baldegg, Switzerland, and took her vows under the name of Sister Elda. She loved her life as a Franciscan and working with challenging kids in Sursee, Switzerland. She held a diploma as remedial teacher and her big heart allowed even difficult kids to blossom.
When she attended a lecture about meditation by a psychologist at the University of Zurich, her life took a new turn. Meditation and the path of Sri Chinmoy opened new inner doors for her – but also presented a new challenge: to stay in her convent or follow the path of an Indian master. This book contains illumining glimpses about Dodulas’s life from her diaries and stories from her spiritual brothers and sisters from the convent and the Sri Chinmoy Centres, which show how she was able to reconcile her love of God, Jesus, and her Guru Sri Chinmoy in the face of all difficulties and challenges.
